New Benchrest League for .22 and .177 starting this winter!

We have been discussing the possibility of a benchrest league in Cambridgeshire and we have finally agreed on a format for this new competition.

We have decided to run the league in the same way that the NSRA runs its benchrest league but in our online format.

1. Individual, short range, with appropriate NSRA targets for distance shot (15yd, 20yd, 25yd, or 25m).
2. Rifles of .22 calibre or less, rimfire cartridge or air, may be used
3. Two competitions, 'iron sights' or 'any sights'
4. NSRA Benchrest Rules apply
5. Scoring to be with .22 gauges, with oversize gauges to be used as specified by the NSRA
6. 10 fortnightly rounds, course of fire ex100 per round
7. Close as possible averages to be supplied (until the league is established)
8. These competitions are self -scoring with cards checked by our Stats Officer on a random and regular basis
9. Insufficient entries could result in one competition for 'any sights' being run.

So, hopefully this will give another level of competition for those shooters who possibly cannot shoot in the prone position anymore, or have other disabilities or impairments that prevent them entering our normal prone competitions. We hope to try and get enough interest in this competition to be able to offer a range of divisions so we encourage club captains to get as many entries as possible from those shooters who wouldn’t normally be able to enter standard leagues.

You will be able to enter all our CTSA leagues online at www.cambridgeshireshooting.com although we haven't opened the entries as of today's date. Attached to this article is an entry form that can be filled in and sent to the League Secretary which will be added to the online system as soon as entry to the winter league is open.

Entries will need to be in by 21st September 2009. First round shoot-by date is 26th October 2009.
